It’s BooBoo’s fifth birthday, I had the pet store delivered quite a few human grade fansy cat food for him (knowning that lots of domestic cat food has been recalled…), tried all day long, he wouldn’t eat anything until I finally gave him his old chicken and liver entree… I guess he is just a meat and potato kind of guy

Pictured are BooBoo and MiMi, my 13 year old Smoke Cameo Persian queen, who somehow sensed “BooBoo day”, allowed him to sit with her and even sleep next to her! She is not mentioned here before because she doesn’t like the 2 boys too much, she would never let them come close to her. I guess she has a change of heart I just love watching them…

I had no idea vacuuming could be this much fun! After one full day of initial charge, I used my iRobot Roomba 4230 Remote Scheduler Robotic Vacuum for the very first time this afternoon. This thing is so amusing that both BooBoo and I couldn’t help ourselves but followed it around all over the house.

It is like watching a very stubborn blind man, who tries to earn his keep in your house and would not stop at anything. Every time it bumps into an object, a wall, a foot… it turns slightly toward a different angle, going over and over through every part of the floor. It picked up all the kitty hair! The most shocking thing is Roomba found its own way back to the charger, and docked itself, and there the shimmering charging red light appeared… almost in a creepy way

Roomba was on my shopping list on Amazon for more than a year, I can’t believe I didn’t get it sooner!

Update: hmm, there is a newer & improved model since September 2007, darn… iRobot 560 Roomba Vacuuming Robot, Black and Silver

The long anticipated Full-Month Celebration (Chinese tradition) for Otto was such a joyous event yesterday at the home of my dear friends Celine & Robert’s. This is the time for the parents to show off the new born to all the family and friends. We had a huge production, Otto’s daddy, Robert (a computer wizard), picking me up in the morning, moving all my prepared sauces, food ingredients, kitchen tools, cases of champagne glasses, dishes, serving plates… over to their home, it looked as if I was moving! There ends my catering fantasy — too much moving!

I made lots of food for guests of 30, we ate, we drank, and we ate more, and we drank more, it was sheer happiness little Otto brought us. Maybe Celine should be a mommy for the 3rd time as Robert is already thinking of — we get to celebrate more often

Otto got his exciting beginning from her mommy & daddy’s trip with me to Chicago for my performance last summer. Even though he didn’t get to eat my food yesterday, he has tasted the cuisines of famed chefs Charlie Trotter & Rick Tramonto’s from that very beginning in Chicago. Otto Henning Buff was born April 8, 2007 weighing 8 pounds.

Announcing the completion of Amelia’s website!

Well, the first draft version at least

I was up at 5 am, there wasn’t much to do at those hours outside of encoding my film clips in the background, Amelia’s website, her real birthday gift from me, finally got its deserved attention.

She is such a brilliant baby, I can imagine only in a few years, she will take her blog over from her daddy & mommy and start writing down ideas and thoughts of her own.

I was in Indiana on Amelia’s 2nd birthday, her mommy Shih-Yi (my dear friend for the past 17 years!) suggested that we take her for gelato last night to make up for it. I haven’t leisurely walk out the house for quite a long time, it was really nice.I got some cute bobbing head frog picture frame, and Hello Kitty novelties for Amelia, I find them innovative. (pictured: Hello Kitty training Chopsticks, and Fork & spoon set) Last time I was over rehearsing with Amelia’s daddy Derek, Amelia was showing off her new turning up side down stunt to me, I knew I had to get her the happy face pants/skirt set. Amelia almost tuned red posing for me, she even learned to say Amelia Happy Face
