Saw Linda after a recital I played, started babbling about how I would LOVE to tango.
Miraculously, she got the real Argentinean tango instructor Alicia, rented a studio, got all her friends together, there we were, having tango lessons!
Exporting these frames off of the video I took during our lesson this Wednesday, my Sony high-def cam takes fab enough video image (even in standard format) to withstand the test of still image.

Linda Tao (above) — doctor, ballet dancer, pianist, and many many things

I am thinking of going pro now… AS IF!!!
Thank you Linda…

For all the fun time we spent in my kitchen, my dear friend - sous chef, Nathaniel Yangco, I will miss you so…
This past weekend took my new toy iPhone to Aspen for the Aspen Ideas Festival. This is basically a post of how iPhone’s camera responds to light — if a subject is well lit with spot lights, it works fantastically — though it rarely happens in real life…
For the ease of use and to quickly document everyday moments, it is quite wonderful with 2.0 megapixels.
Landing in Aspen, some stranger got in my picture :: Ayaan Interview
dear friend Kirsten Walgreen :: her lovely comfy shoes
Rob Rieman and the Dutch Royals :: Elliot Gerson - the master mind behind the Festival (took the snap shot without him knowing when he sat next to me…
)
the view from the dinning room at the Aspen Meadows during dinner.
Me with a $30 thousand Sony pro camera on fancy tripod (not mine, but how I love this sutff…) :: random well lit lilies
Some political discussion highlights of the Ideas Festival have been posted on YouTube (my non-political, no agenda concert didn’t make it there
) I was too lazy to leave the room to hear Clinton’s speech since I heard him during the last festival. But he seems to be a big focus of the video clips. Check out this Link !

Hungry after practicing, decided to make some raw sushi even though it is too late to eat
It is much more delicious than the rice and fish version!
layer a piece of collard green leaf on top of a seaweed sheet
put on top a mixture of julienne veggies (red bell pepper, cucumber, zucchini, carrot, purple cabbage) with avocado and some sprouts (here I use home grown soy sprouts)
sprinkle with a little sea salt, roll it up and slice into 8 pieces (pictured 7, 1 was eaten already
)
hmm, I think I need more practice rolling sushi… or should I roll it only when I am not too impatient because of hunger?
Very simple dish, crunchy and addictive
organic string beans cut in half length wise
1 glove crushed garlic
sea salt
freshly ground mixed color pepper corn
a drop of sesame oil
a little lemon zest
garnish with home grown parsley
Took the photo of String Beans with my iPhone, not enough light, doesn’t look too great. Tweaked it a little with iPhoto, too lazy to use Photoshop today
