Easter Sunday Brunch May 1, 2011

Had a total of 27 people in my little nest last sunday for brunch celebrating SPRING. The forecast said it would be a rainy day since 10 days ago, and even 7 am when I woke up on easter sunday, it still said that it would rain…

For some reason, I BELIEVED, and kept believing that it would be a perfect sunny day to show off my beautiful apartment with 3 sides of windows of the most beautiful blue sky, and my little piece of the river… So, not only it didn’t rain, but it was so sunny and bright just as I had envisioned it would be Smile

Now that makes me wonder if I should BELIEVE in other more important things than just having a sunny day… hah, I am so enjoying living in the moment that I don’t think I have thought much about my playing or anything bigger in scope for quite a while… CAN SOMEONE KICK ME IN THE BEHIND AND MAKE ME WORK?!

Big thanks to Cyrus for making sure all the guests were happy and had what they needed, for working so hard on switching the electric surge back on over and over since there are too many plugged in toys in my house on top of a huge AC running (the situation was finally fixed by me making waffles in the bathroom Laugh), and for putting up with me when I was under pressure. Welcoming New HuaHua January 31, 2011

Filed under: HuaHua — Jung @ 8:23 pm

Found my dream dog on a breeder’s site in NC two Saturdays ago (one of the millions of breeders I track for a while in search of a black and tan long hair chihuahua with the mask around her eyes). Her scheduled flight was canceled last Thursday because of the major storm we just had, but all went smoothly today. What a trooper, her entire journey was about 14 hours long, and she showed no signs of agitation! Haven’t lived with any animal for more than a year, this is going to be a big and happy change.

Welcoming my new HuaHua, Black and Tan with White, Long Hair Chihuahua girl, born October 1st, 2010. Arrives January 31st, 2011. Heart

HuaHua and LouLou reunited May 19, 2008

Filed under: BooBoo and LouLou,HuaHua — Jung @ 11:02 am

HuaHua, at 1 week short of 5 months of age, went on the plane with me to Chicago area for another round of Rachy III. She was so good during the trip, out with me everyday practicing and rehearsing, really remarkable! The concert master actually reserved her seat on stage next to the piano with her name on it Smile She was loved by everyone who met her.

After 5 whole days apart, HuaHua was happy to be back home being her wild puppy self, and being with her favorite LouLou. Lots of chasing and ‘boxing’ matches between the two of them. At the end of the day they cuddled happily together. Thank you LouLou, for being so kind to HuaHua Smile

HuaHua, My Long Hair Chihuahua March 20, 2008

Since the very first time Celine brought me there, Kyotofu has become my favorite afternoon hideout. Walk there almost every week to have the "chef’s omekase." The tea infused rice and home made silken tofu are out of this world…

Have been making tofu at home since, haven’t mastered the texture just quite yet, but don’t make me show you all the tools and different kinds of tofu coagulators I have… Sometimes I think my quest for the ultimate truth in everything is quite insane but I can’t tell you what fun it is in the process Smile

The additional bonus is the puppy shop across the street, where I often linger and fantasize about going home with a pug. A few weeks ago, my attention was taken away from a pug puppy by a couple beautiful looking tiny creatures, they were Long Hair Chihuahuas, I was told. Found myself reading about them on internet for the days to come, can’t quite get over them.

Went into the shop again this afternoon before my lunch, this time the shopkeeper VERY wisely let out a new puppy for me to hold in the tiny secluded area for a very long while… I left the place mesmerized… no, I can’t have a dog, the second I start performing again, I will not be able to take care of a dog… I repeated saying that to myself…

Googgling everything about the breed on my iPhone the whole time I was having my usual at Kyotofu… Left the restaurant, involuntarily walked back to the shop, home with this gorgeous Long Hair Chihuahua wrapped in my sweater in this craziest windy cold day.

There, I officially ended my unofficial affair with the pugs…

I name her HuaHua — she is a Chi-HuaHua, and she is a DOLL (what huahua happens to mean in Chinese Smile )
